Villa Mouthouria

Villa Mouthouria, the former residence of the Turkish governor, is an antique house overlooking the harbour, with spectacular sea views. The house sleeps from 2 to 6, plus cot. Upstairs has two bedrooms (one double, one twin), a spacious living room with sofa bed, a small kitchen, shower room and balcony.  Downstairs has one twin bedroom,  a well-equipped fitted kitchen/diner with aircon, shower room and outside patio.

Positioned centrally in the main village of Emborio, two levels above the harbour, Mouthouria is less than 5 minutes from the waterfront tavernas and shops, and 10-15 minutes walk from the nearest beaches at Pondamos and Ftenagia.

Downstairs the entrance hall leads to the twin bedroom, shower room and  large well-equipped kitchen /breakfast room with modern fitted units, dishwasher, gas/electric cooker, fridge, microwave and air conditioning.  The patio to the front of the house has table, chairs and umbrella.

Upstairs is accessed by a wooden staircase, leading to a spacious living room (salone) with original painted ceiling and frieze. This elegant well-lit room is comfortably furnished with a large dining table and chairs, sofa and sofa- bed (which can be used for 1-2 guests if required).  Double doors lead to a wrought-iron balcony, with table and chairs, umbrella,  and wonderful sea views.  There is a small  kitchen leading off the living room (with microwave, kettle, toaster, hotplate and fridge), and an upstairs shower room.

The double bedroom (upstairs) and two twin bedrooms (upstairs and downstairs) are furnished in traditional island style with wooden wardrobes and cabinets.
